FUTURE FUNK
The inspiration for FUTURE FUNK
From Amber Herself
"So the inspiration for FUTURE FUNK"
So there’s a few apps I use from ampify x novation launchpad groovebox and blocks wave
ALL pads and FX before I press record and I heard that VOX “you are unbelievable” and that was it I was off and I just kept finding these groovy 70’s disco style packs or what have you then the producer at the time said your new project is a thoughA seriously groovy one came out and when I’m into it I’m really digging it and I go funk based EP.
So I spent three months on three tracks as one was already done and I just kept finding retro style effects and loops and vox I love LOVE that sort of thing and I couldn’t stop forced myself to not work today as I don’t stop often enough.
But it’s just that feeling you get it so deep inside you can’t put it into words like when I hear a saxophone from 1k away I will find it if I heard disco I’d find it and make it something interesting my love for music it’s so broad that when someone asks me about it like I’ve just done now I get so passionate it’s the air I breathe before I have even had a cup of coffee music is on always at least 5 songs of who I’m digging the most and at the momment that’s Janelle monàe.
I grew up around a singing mother who was always blasting music dancing singing and I think a lot of it starts there not to mention the most historical years in music is when I was growing up so I’m spoilt for choice and talent.
